Ruth McCabe

Considered one of the greatest names in Irish cinema and theatre, Ruth McCabe is an acclaimed Irish Actress who won an Irish Film and Television Academy Award in 2003 for her role in ANY TIME NOW and again in 2011 for SINGLE-HANDED.

Some of her more recent credits include VICTORIA & ABDUL and PHILOMENA, both directed by Stephen Frears, CATASTROPHE directed by Ben Taylor, WOMEN ON THE VERGE directed by Annie Griffin, and OUT OF INNOCENCE directed by Danny Hiller.

Over the course of her career she has worked with directors including Neil Jordan (BREAKFAST ON PLUTO), John Crowley (INTERMISSION), Mike Newell, Jim Sheridan (MY LEFT FOOT), Thaddeus O’Sullivan, Joe Wright, John Boorman, Roger Michell and Enda Walsh.
