Niamh McCann

Niamh trained at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London. She began her career at the prestigious Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, returning for several seasons thereafter, and has worked consistently with some of the leading theatre companies in the UK, including the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Niamh’s most recent screen credits include THE CURED with Ellen Page, directed by David Freyne, and LITTLE ROY for CBBC. Niamh also played the series regular role of Grace in RIVER CITY for BBC Scotland, and Maria in BROOKLYN directed by John Crowley.

Her extensive theatre work includes an ongoing creative collaboration with Louise Lowe of ANU Productions in their internationally-acclaimed productions, including TORCH, THESE ROOMS, SUNDER, and most recently THE ANVIL for the Manchester International Festival 2019.

Niamh will next appear in Dylan Tighe’s PASOLINI’S SALO REDUBBED at the Abbey, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL directed by Selina Cartmell for the Gate Theatre, Dublin.
